How it works
Essential oils and surfactants – a substance designed to allow molecular binding by lowering water surface tension – make up the reactant in our portable misting systems. The units release the reactant mist into the air, neutralising the odour molecules.
Benefits to clients
The main benefit of these misting systems is obviously their portability. Transport them to odour hot-spots in just a few minutes. They require little installation time, have low running and maintenance costs and can be monitored and automated. Portable misting systems can help you keep to the site boundary limits set by the EPA.
- Spray Stream 20
- Spray Stream 30
In portable misting systems, fogging cannons draw the odour neutralising solution from a storage unit, like an intermediate bulk container (IBC), through a tube. At high pressure, these cannons create a fog of active ingredient. It then flows through a cone-shaped device and then is blown by a fan outwards from the unit to a distance between 10–70m. The particles of fog are as small as possible, to ensure maximum targeting of odours.
Portable misting systems are made up of an intermediate bulk container (IBC) for storing odour neutralising ingredient, tubing, an electronic control box, fogging nozzles, and a funnel-shaped unit that houses the cannon and fan. We make our units from stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance. A water supply or IBC is needed for the operation of a portable misting system.
Electrical requirements for the Spray Stream 20 consist of a 10amp single phase power supply, while for the Spray Stream 30, a 32amp 3 phase power supply is needed.
All active substances used in the misting systems are made from natural organic compounds and plant extracts and are non-toxic.
Optional accessories include a Dosatron automatic dilution system and the use of an IBC where a water supply is not available, or when easy transportation around a site is required.
We provide a full installation service for our odour control products, so that there are no barriers to quick and easy operation of the equipment, meaning a faster reduction of odours.
Maintenance and Refurbishment
At OdourPro, we believe in providing ongoing support to our clients in the form of regular preventative maintenance visits. We can also refurbish and test existing systems.
Monitoring and Telemetry
Monitoring system performance is necessary to fine tune the settings and also to maintain optimal dosing levels. Telemetry allows easy access to collected data.
