How it works
OdourPro's modular hybrid filter systems take a two-fold approach to odour control. First, a biofilter oxidises the gases using microorganisms in an organic media bed. A carbon filter then removes any residual odours, leading to a total reduction of 99% of H₂S gas.
Benefits to clients
Reduce the risk of toxic gas exposure for site workers. Benefit from greater staff loyalty, productivity and lowered absenteeism. Enjoy a higher profit margin by saving time and money on maintenance.
Our "plug and play" products are hassle-free and simple to install so that you can see quantifiable results more quickly.
- Customised Systems
Chemical Supply and Delivery
We can provide chemical supply and delivery services for dosing units so you always have a sufficient quantity of chemicals, and are 100% environmental and WHS regulation compliant.
Monitoring and Telemetry
We can monitor your dosing unit's performance and fine tune the system to maintain optimal dosing levels. We can access this performance information readily by using telemetry.
Maintenance and Refurbishment
We can provide ongoing support to our clients in the form of regular preventative maintenance visits. We can also refurbish and test existing systems.
OdourPro's modular hybrid filter systems reduce odours by up to 99%. The process begins by introducing foul air into the biofilter plenum using an extraction fan and ducting. Hazardous gases then move through a humidification system to raise the relative humidity to >95%. Then they go through the organic media and are affected by microorganisms in the filter bed.
Treated airflow then moves into the activated carbon filter unit before being released to the atmosphere via a vent stack.
The materials used to make OdourPro's modular hybrid filter systems make them perfect for harsh conditions. They are constructed from P300 High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and are corrosion and UV-resistant for long product life expectancy.
Joint construction is via butt and extrusion welding with Standard DVS 2202 / 2010 plastic joining technical codes strictly followed.
The first treatment stage in modular hybrid filter systems involves the use of a bed of micropore media that allows volatile organic compounds and gases to adsorb through it into a liquid state. This long-lasting media boasts a high surface area to affect a greater percentage of incoming gas, preventing pressure loss.
The treatment process then continues in a secondary vessel with activated carbon media. This filtering method is particularly effective on odours that originate from the presence of mercaptans, H₂S and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Filtering media can be custom created for sites with special filtering requirements.
In the first stage of gas treatment, a humidification chamber is used. Misting sprays inside the chamber saturate the untreated gas and raise it up to 95% relative humidity.
Irrigation regulates the moisture levels in the filter bed to facilitate optimal conditions for microorganism growth and activity. An inspection hatch allows access to the irrigation system.
Upgrades to standard modular hybrid filter systems include a PLC, standby fan, stainless steel fans, operational sensor and an irrigation hatch access platform.
OdourPro also offers ongoing maintenance and monitoring services, including telemetry systems that can log fan operation and air flow, the inflow and outflow of H₂S gases as well as water flow.
OdourPro's modular hybrid filter systems assist compliance with the Environmental Operations Act 1997 (POEO Act). OdourPro is Australia's leading odour management specialist with the expertise to dramatically reduce odours at their origin.
OdourPro's FiltaPlus™ systems come in standard "plug and play" sizes or they can be custom built to suit your site requirements.
